Lady Trojans win exciting five-setter at Owasso

Jenks stays unbeaten on the season with an exciting 3-2 win at Owasso Tuesday.

The Lady Trojans improved to 5-0 with the win.

Jenks opened the match with a 25-10 domination in the first game. The Lady Rams responded in kind with a 25-16 win in the second game.

The Lady Trojans took an exciting game 25-22 in the third frame and then Owasso evened the score 25-15 in game four.

In the fifth and deciding game, Jenks held on for a 15-12 victory to remain undefeated in 2020.

The Lady Trojans had 159 kills in the match, 34 blocks, 40 aces, 254 digs, 152 assists and 256 receptions.

Sophie Bufogle led Jenks with eight kills on the night. Mikiah Perdue had two blocks. Honda Figueroa had three aces. Megan Salyer had 12 digs. Figueroa had eight assists and Bufogle finished with 14 receptions.

Jenks volleyball spikes Tulsa NOAH

The Jenks volleyball team took down Tulsa NOAH Aug. 20 three games to none.

The Lady Trojans won the first game 25-8, the second game 25-16 and the third game 25-10.

Elise Johnson led the way with nine kills. Honda Figueroa had eight aces. Mikiah Perdue, Savannah LaBiche, Adison Morgan, Sophie Bufogle, Figueroa, Alison Montes, and Megan Salyer all had three blocks on the night.

Salyer also led the way in the dig department with eight.

Up next for the Jenks volleyball team is the Broken Arrow Tournament Friday and Saturday.
